The CONASAMI agreed to increase the general minimum wages for the three geographic areas by four point two percent (4.2%). The new general minimum wages applicable as of January 1st, 2012 are:
Geographic Area “A” $62.33 Pesos per day
Geographic Area “B” $60.57 Pesos per day
Geographic Area “C” $59.08 Pesos per day
The integration of the geographic areas by municipalities for the application of general minimum wages remains the same.
Likewise, CONASAMI agreed to increase the professional minimum wages established in the “List of Professions, Trades and Special Jobs” in the same proportion in which the general minimum wages were augmented. Please note that CONASAMI decided to eliminate from the aforementioned list, for year 2012 and thereafter, the trades of “Officer in metal smelting furnace” and “Officer in manufacture and repair of horse saddles and related leather goods”.
